Royal flush game

 It was a hot, blue sky day. People where running back and forth to get all the cards right. There where four groups Clubs, Diamonds, Spades and Hearts but I was in clubs. In my group was Rangitunoa, Jamieson, Nikora and Chloe. 

My team was going good. Jam came with no card, He was sad but he tripped over and face panted to the ground. I was so sad but I couldn’t help but laugh. Our group was just looking at him for a little while. He got up and sat on the ground.

After (the bad thing) that happened to Jam we found out the he made us get the wrong cards. So our teem was supposed to get spades. We had to put all our cards back and it felt like we lost. 😥

Athletics Day

 Athletics Day

On Friday I was on the field lined up to do the year seven and eight hundred meter splints finals. I had one foot back and I was looking right down to the finish line, I could see people shouting names as well as people saying “GO! GO!” as well. The lady that was holding the gun put her hand up and started saying three two. My heart was racing so fast. My gun went off and it made a big bang, that was very scary. I ran and ran but I was still at the back of every one. But for some reason I felt a boat in myself and I became just in front of everyone. I could feel the breeze going past my arms. My shoes hit the yellow dead grass on the ground. I kept my speed to the end of the race. My black shoes hit the white line on the spiky grass. I felt tired, thirsty and puft. That race made myself feel good. I think I came first but I don’t know yet. That was a very hot fun day.

Research project About Starfish

 

I have made a slide all about starfish/sea star. I have learnt that where aren't just little starfish in the water there are all tips of them. This slide took a ling time but it was very fun to learn all about them. Did you know all these things about well I didn't.

On this slide I have put the strategies that I use is Add / sub and mult. I think our teacher whats to know what strategies we love to us in maths. It did take long to do but it was a bit fun. What is your favourite slide?

Creating Media - Christmas

Our class are making medias. I don't know why we did this. My one is about Christmas. Christmas is celebrated to remember the birth of Jesus Christ. I think my one is very good. Is Christmas you favourite holiday.  

Frank and Bobs day at the beach

It was a hot summer day and Frank, a 12 year boy, and was walking to the beach with his friend Bob who is also 12 years old too. It was a very hot day with the hot sun shining down on his face. Frank's mum told him to bring a sun hat but he didn’t and he was regretting it. They knew that they were close to the beach because they could smell salty water.

Their feet touched the hot sand and they ran to the water to cool their feet off. Frank and Bob took their top off and ran into the water. Splashing each other with water and swimming as far as they can. But Frank was shorter than Bob so he couldn’t swim as far as him. They were having a blast. 

The sky turned a little gray. But they didn’t care. Something started swimming around with them. First Bob felt it by his feet but he just thought it was seaweed, But Frank didn’t think it was. Frank ran out of the water and Bob was wondering why he did that. Suddenly Frank started saying “get out of there Bob”!

But Bob didn’t hear what he said. He looked like he was those things that bob up and down in the water. But he just went down. He got sucked under the water and never came out. 

Frank sat there for 10 minutes looking at the water. He didn’t care that the sand was so hot, but his bum got a little red after that. Frank didn’t have a phone because he acted like a 5 year old boy  but that day I think he needed one. 

From that day no one goes to that beach. But Frank still goes to his friend's grave every week on Saturday and puts some red flowers and talks to Bob for a few minutes. Frank thinks about him all the time and thinks of what he could have done.
